Leisure Air Flight Attendant Wing 1st Issue

Winston-Salem, NC 1992-1995

Owned by Worldwide Airline Services and doing business as Leisure Air International Airlines. The name was later shortened to Leisure Air. It flew charter flights using five A-320s, four DC-10s and two B-757s. Leisure Air flew its own public chaarters under the name Florida Express. When the FAA found irregularities in the maintenance records of the McDonnel DC-10s, the operating license for the DC-10s and the B-757s were withdrawn. Due to this only the A-320s continued to operate but at a much reduced scale. On January 19, 1995 Leisure Air filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and the airline 1995 finally ceased all operations in February, 1995.
